Dernaseer has manufactured quality washing systems for almost 30 years.

The company was founded by Managing Director, Declan McKenna. However, Declan’s experience in the industry spans long before Dernaseer, as his father previously owned an engineering company so Declan was brought up working in the family business from a young age, which has endowed him with an unparalleled knowledge and expertise in the industry.

He then went onto establish Dernaseer in 1988 which has now become a global, leading manufacturer of sand washing systems, with installations worldwide.

Dernaseer is based in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, which is recognised as the centre of excellence in the design and manufacture of materials handling equipment.

Many of Dernaseer’s design engineers have been recruited from Northern Ireland’s top two universities; Queen’s University Belfast and the Ulster University, have world class engineering centres leading in R&D and new product development.

Recruitment of such design engineers, along with Declan’s knowledge and expertise, has encouraged a culture at Dernaseer for developing innovative solutions to benefit their customers.
