It all started in June 1996, when the first noise and heat protection components – at that time for only one customer – rolled off the production line. Since then, the plant has grown steadily and today consists of a passionate workforce of around 150 employees producing more than three million parts for leading car brands annually. Two experts in the field of acoustic design of vehicles are joining forces! Skilled employees are crucial for the advancement of our Company. They are closest to processes and products and thus key to identifying opportunities for improvement. To tap this potential, our Brazilian location in São Paulo recently initiated the “Autoneum Prize of Excellence” (APEX). Employees were invited to submit their suggestions for improving procedures in three categories: environment, health & safety (EHS), quality and continuous improvement. The award proved to be highly motivating: More than 70 colleagues submitted their ideas! Three of them – one in each category – were awarded the first prize. For example, a project boosting safety and performance of a production line won in the EHS discipline. 10 years of Autoneum – of course, this needs to be celebrated! At our Autoneum locations around the world, various anniversary activities including local community engagement projects, aperitifs and other festive events for employees will take place throughout the year to mark this joyful occasion. Our Chinese sites have already kicked off the birthday celebrations: Our colleagues in Chongqing, for example, planted over 40 trees in the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan.
